Storage firm suing Lisciotti

LEOMINSTER -- The Nevada-based corporation that owns the San Antonio Storage business on Harvard Street is suing the developer of the neighboring Orchard Hill Park shopping center.

The lawsuit, filed in Worcester Superior Court by Boston attorney Philip M. Cronin, claims Gregg Lisciotti tried to prevent Self-Storage officials from constructing an office on their own property.

"The objective of Lisciotti's scheme was to place obstacles in the way of the development so that Self-Storage would sell the land at a distressed price to Lisciotti," Cronin wrote in the lawsuit.

The corporation, Three-A-SAC Self-Storage, LP, is suing Lisciotti for $250,000, according to court documents. The case was filed in March.

Lisciotti said Friday he can't comment specifically on the lawsuit, but said it comes in response to him previously filing a complaint in land court about Self-Storage blocking his way to the retention ponds on his property.

When asked why they chose this particular venture, Mr. Marshall commented, "We were looking to leverage our own self storage operational facility & personnel to increase profits by adding some type of additional service offering that was complimentary to our self storage business." Keith initially set up his own system at his Bay Colony Self Storage location and found out how difficult it was to bring together all of the individual pieces.
