| City Council considers suspension of on-site storage pods
No new on-site San Antonio storage containers would be allowed in Springfield for six months if the Springfield City Council approves a resolution to study how the containers impact property values tonight. The six-month suspension would give the council a chance to consider new rules for keeping storage containers, on-site storage trailers and temporary storage units on private property in the city. .
North Korea lashes out at Rice for criticising Pyongyang
Seoul, July 25 (AP): North Korea lashed out at US Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, for saying the communist nation was irresponsible for not giving advance warning of its recent missile tests, claiming it had confirmed the area was clear. North Korea ``launched missiles only after airspace, land and waters of the sea had been confirmed to be completely safe,'' according to a report carried late on Monday by the North's official Korean Central News Agency. The launches ``hurt neither ships nor civilian planes nor anyone. This fact was admitted even by the neighboring countries,'' KCNA said. The North's test-firings in early July led the U.N. Security Council to adopt a resolution sanctioning the North and banning all U.N. member countries from missile-related dealings with the country.

The transaction, for approximately $2.3 billion in cash, made the Company the second largest self-storage operator in the U.S. with over 630 properties owned or under management in 34 states including Washington, DC. The Company purchased one-hundred percent of 61 Storage USA properties, and through a joint venture with Prudential Real Estate Investors ("PREI"), purchased an ownership interest in an additional 259 Storage USA properties. Public Storage, Shurgard Delay Meetings
GLENDALE, Calif. (AP) - Public Storage Inc. and Shurgard San Antonio Storage building Centers Inc. on Tuesday said they have postponed their respective shareholder meetings because a regulatory review of filings related to their planned merger is not yet complete. The real estate investment trusts, focusing on the self-storage sector, have not set a new date for the meeting. The companies said the delay came because the Securities and Exchange Commission has not finished reviewing a joint proxy statement and prospectus. .
